The Eco-Ganpati Making Workshop is an experiential, school and community outreach programme that promotes environmental responsibility while celebrating cultural traditions. The workshop introduces children and participants to the environmental impact of conventional plaster-of-Paris idols and encourages the adoption of eco-friendly alternatives..
Participants are guided to create their own Ganpati idols using shadu clay, a natural and eco-friendly material that dissolves easily in water without harming aquatic life. Alongside the hands-on activity, the workshop creates awareness about responsible celebration, waste reduction, and sustainable practices during festivals.
By blending creativity, culture, and environmental advocacy, the Eco-Ganpati Making Workshop inspires participants to make conscious choices and carry forward the message of sustainability within their families and communities.
